TheBank Arlington opened August 28, 2006

A common vision among bankers is to be able to “Build” their own bank since mergers and acquisitions have changed banking from local community banks to mega out-of-state banks. With that vision, we, as bankers and long time residents embarked on a passion to bring banking back to the local ownership and give our friends and family an opportunity to own part of a bank. Those people are now TheShareholders of TheBank Arlington.

Together, we, Bill Allen and Cathy Allen, have spent over 75 years in banking in the Arlington area. We have attended school in the area and raised our family in Arlington. Having grown up around the Arlington/Fort Worth Metroplex, it has been the desire, dedication and determination that has brought TheBank to fruition. We chose a State Banking charter, since we are Texans, and are proud to be a partner with The State of Texas Banking Department.

TheBank is about family – your family and mine. It is built on the philosophy that banking should be a business with local people and local ownership with the commitment to smile, know your name, be efficient, shake your hand, offer you a cup of coffee or just sit down and listen. It should be a place where you and your family and generations to come have a place to enjoy walking in the door and be proud to say, “I bank at TheBank.”

While TheBank will not be on every corner, what we do, we do well. Our plans are to grow with future locations that will serve our customers, but to remain connected to you – the customer by providing personal service where we know you by name and banking remains simple and straightforward. We believe technology in banking should be convenient while keeping the human contact available. We promise to be TheBank when you need us and to make banking more enjoyable.

We, along with our CFO, Jim L. Tipton and our Board of Directors, have organized a Team of experienced Officers, Employees and 132 dedicated Shareholders that want to say, “Welcome to TheBank….How may we help you?”
